Diagnostic Services

Laboratory
The following diagnostic tests are routinely performed daily in our own in-house lab.
Cytologic evaluation of growths/masses
Blood chemistry panels
CBC hematology
Electrolytes
Urine analysis
Gastrointestinal parasite test (worms, protozoa,etc)
Serology including; Feline leukemia virus, Feline immunodeficiency
virus, parvovirus, and heartworm
Ringworm culture
For outside lab services, we use Idexx Reference Lab, one of the nation's largest veterinary reference laboratory. Samples are picked up twice daily and when completed the results are faxed to our office.

Radiology
New digital radiography equipment is utilized diagnostically for immediate interpretation by our staff doctors. Radiographs are additionally reviewed by a certified veterinary radiologist at no additional cost to clients. In addition, we use dental digital radiology for evaluation of your pet's teeth.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound is an excellent noninvasive imaging tool that requires extensive experience to master. We have used ultrasound since 1999 and utilize this essential tool daily in our practice.

Laparoscopy/ Otoscopy/ Rhinoscopy
Rigid scopes attached to a xenon light source and displayed on a monitor allow the doctor to obtain a visual look into body cavities and perform surgical or diagnostic procedures with this minimally invasive method. |

Electrocardiography (ECG) - Pets have an array of cardiac diseases such as valvular deformities
cardiomyopathy, stenosis, and arrythmias. Electrocardiography is used to access and screen for cardiac abnormalities.
Blood Pressure - A noninvasive indirect blood pressure instrument is used to measure blood pressure and pulse
irregularities
Tonopen Glaucoma Screening - The tonopen is a hand held ocular (eye) pressure-measuring device used
for glaucoma screening.
