Boarding

Whether you are on vacation, extended work, or needing to vacate your home for construction or repairs, we provde a safe caring environment for your pets to stay.  All guests receive individual attention by our trained staff.  Our veterinarians are available should a medical problem arise.

Dogs stay in indoor suites.  You will pick the size accommodations best suited for your dog.  Soothing music is piped-in, which amazingly creates a calming effect.  Our suites can also accommodate multiple pets from the same household.  All dogs are walked three times daily. Our caregivers will provide treats to the guests. Dog food-stuffed kong toys are a favorite among our regular boarders.

We provide towels and blankets for bedding.  You are welcome to bring a toy or treats.

Cats stay in our cat boarding condo room far from any dogs. They enjoy suites that have Plexiglas backing that allows outdoor viewing and basking in the sun.   Suites can be reconfigured to allow your cat to have as large an area as desired. This flexibility is wonderful for same-household cats that prefer to stay together.  Litter boxes are located in side rooms off the main cage.  If your cat is social with other cats, they can be let out for a period to exercise in the entire room.

If your pet has special diet needs or doesn't handle diet changes well, bring his or her food with feeding instructions. If your  pet is receiving medications or medical treatments, our nursing staff can administer any needed care.  Please bring the medications and written instructions with you upon admission.

Our attendants monitor guest's appetite, urine and feces output, and overall condition.  We maintain daily boarding sheets to document these specifics.  Any unusual changes are reported to the technicians or doctors.

A pre-check out bath is recommended for any dogs boarding over 2 days. A complimentary bath will be given to all dogs that stay 7 days or longer. This is a quick cleanup bath and does not include anal gland expression or toenail trimming.  If you want your pet bathed prior to your picking them up, please tell our receptionists when you check in.  If they are to receive a bath, they will not be ready to go home until mid-to-later afternoon on the day you plan to pick them up.

Aggressive pets may not be allowed to stay with us.  If your pet is found to be aggressive toward staff members or other animals, we will attempt to contact you for alternative arrangements.  If no other alternative can be found, there will be an additional fee assessed to compensate for the added time and risk involved with their stay.

Some pets may become excessively stressed during their stay.  Stress is often   manifested as persistent cowering, barking, diarrhea, or fearful biting.  If the stress is deemed excessive, our veterinarians may suggest a gentle sedative to reduce anxiety.  This can really make the pet's stay more enjoyable.  We will attempt to reach you prior to administering any sedatives.
